L.A.'s self-described purveyors of "funky rock with bluesy vocals"
are truly masters of impassioned funk/rock, delivered with addictive and
potent grooves and emotive and irresistible vocals.
Recently nominated for an L.A. Music Award ("Female
Vocalist of the Year 2007"), LadyFOX is destined to bring back the funk. Formed
originally by Michelle Ann Owens as The Owens Project (credits include ABC's
"All-American Girl", NBC's "Hit Me Baby One More Time" and vocals for "The
Apprentice" and "CSI: Miami"), her band soon began writing together and renamed
themselves LadyFOX. This explosive 5-piece offers up an undeniable blend of pop,
R&B and rock in the vein of Lenny Kravitz and Nikka Costa. It's tough to
take your eyes off of LadyFOX during their energetic, live set.
LadyFOX is garnering interest from labels, management & national radio,
including stations 88.3 Syracuse, NY, Kuvo 89.3 Denver, CO, and Indie 104
Los Angeles. The band has also been successful in licensing songs for television
shows & networks including E!, Comedy Central, "America's Next
Top Model", MTV's "Made", VH1's "Driven", Discovery
Health's "Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew", The History Channel, The
Sci Fi Channel & Spike TV.
LadyFOX is currently in the
studio finishing their debut EP. In the meantime, their 3-song sampler can be
downloaded on both iTunes and Rhapsody.
"LadyFOX really cranks out the
waves of funk/rock electricity; this is a knockout band and fans will be eating
out of their hands." - A&R Select
