Talented
and rising rap artist “Kid Kamakazi,” grandson of a Japanese immigrant with roots in the city of Kobe, is originally
from Vallejo, CA. Paul John Mazza (birth name) came up with the stage name
of “Kid
Kamakazi” based upon his mixed heritage and the fire that burns inside him to blaze
a trail into Japan to introduce the culture to a new kind of rapper.
The first son of an English/Italian father and Japanese mother, “Kid Kamakazi” was
influenced immensely by both his parents at an early age. “P.J.” as he is known by all his friends,
became very familiar with the music industry as he traveled around the U.S.
with his father, Paul John Mazza Sr.,
who was the transportation captain for the renowned concert promoter Alan
Haymon Entertainment. He took “Paul Jr.” along with him to every concert event. From an early age, Kid
Kamakazi was influenced by talented artists such as Grandmaster Flash, Debbie
Deb, Cameo, Gap Band, Dazz Band, Ice Cube, Janet Jackson, and Patti Labelle,
that helped to shape his style of music and lyrics.
Much
of the focus of his work is a result of years of discipline and dedication. Kid
Kamakazi’s training in martial arts as a child helped to provide the
structure and drive for his career, while playing the bass guitar in high
school helped to develop his musical acuity, and practicing the sport of
basketball throughout his life helped to develop the coordination and teamwork
necessary in the industry. Currently, Kid Kamakazi is in the process of
releasing his debut album “Clutch Shooter" with
the hot new singles "clutch shooter" and "do what it do"
that follow on the heels of the earlier singles “Never
Give Up” (a rendition of the classic “Hotel California” by the Eagles, with added
pop and hip-hop flair) and “Fly Like I” featuring Mistah Fab.
Kid Kamakazi is also in negotiations with promoters in China, Japan, and
Europe to open the market in those regions to a new genre of music. Having
recently performed for Tila Tequila's 30th birthday bash as well as making
a theme song for the San Francisco Arts Academy, "we go hard,"
with a music video produced
by Jamie Williams. (screen writer for

During
his off time, when he is not in the studio with Brittany Spears producer
Christian Davis, or performing live, or working on new lyrics, Kid Kamakazi
writes his thoughts and impressions on paper, in anticipation of his debut mix
tape. With exotic looks and mixed heritage, he has been known to be very
popular with the ladies and is about to sign with the Ford Modeling Agency.
Currently taking acting classes, look out for the Kid to hit the big screen.
