ピート・クラノウイットはここ20年間、クラブ、カフェなどでの公演に加え、3枚のアルバム（CD）をリリースするなど音楽活動を行ってきている。ピートは日常レベルの話題から社会問題に至るまで幅広いテーマの曲を手がけており、そういった誰もが経験する事柄をアコースティックなポップミュージックやフォークミュージックという形で発表している。
 ピートのデビューアルバム「Phases of the Heart」はジョン・メイヤーやベン・フォールズ・ファイヴ等のアルバム制作に携わっていることでも有名なJohn Alagia プロデュースで制作され、アコースティックなポップグレ（ポップなプログレ：ピートによる造語）からスローバラードに至るまで全10曲が収録されている。
 また、全12曲収録の最新サードアルバム「elements」では、人の心に触れること、戦争の苦しみ等々、リアルでより大きなストーリーを持つ1曲1曲から成っており、アルバム全体で完結するよう構成されている。
 目玉であり、冒頭を飾るのは、信頼、尊重、友情を詩的に歌い上げるウェディングソング「Now It's We」である。ピート自身のウェブサイト（www.petekronowitt.com）は非常に評価 が高いが、そこには音楽、ビデオ、楽曲の背景などがアルバム「elements」につながる形でインタラクティヴに提供されている。
そして、2009年秋、いよいよ初のアジアツアーを敢行した。中国・日本・ベトナムなど各地で、彼と彼の長年の友人であるベーシスト John David Coppola とともにツアーを行った。Johnはピートのファーストアルバムでもプレイし、25年以上の間に通算何千本という数のライブをこなし、のべ2年間の海外ツアーも経験している。

Pete's songs have a universal appeal, covering themes from family to societal struggles, to philosophical justifications for drinking. Pete's third album, "elements," is comprised of 12 songs expressing the full spectrum of relationships. From the first tug of the heart string, to the harsh salvos of war, to a "goodbye song‟ custom made for today's reality TV. Each song represents its own story, yet the complete collection creates an interwoven narrative of family, friends, emotion, and personal perspectives of larger themes. “Now It's We,” a wedding song built upon a lyrical foundation of trust, respect and friendship, is the centerpiece of “elements.” Pete's critically acclaimed website, www.petekronowitt.com, provides an interactive framework linking the “elements” narrative with music, video and behind-the-scenes motivations for many of the songs.

Pete‟s first album, “Phases of the Heart,” was produced by John Alagia and recorded at Rutabaga Studios. John is best known for his production credits with the Dave Matthews Band, Jon Mayer, Ben Folds Five and Jason Mraz. “Phases of the Heart” has ten fully produced songs, which range from acoustic popgressive to slow and earnest ballads.
Pete's sound is the perfect cocktail of Jack Johnson and Death Cab for Cutie, with just a shot of Elvis Costello, mixing today's tastiest adult pop, singer/songwriting influences.

In September 2009, Pete kicked off his first tour of Asia, traveling to China, Japan and Vietnam. Touring with long-time collaborator and friend, bassist John David Coppola with over 25 years of experience playing thousands of gigs nationally and internationally, the debut tour of Asia was a great experience for everyone involved.
